Traffic Signal Box Art Project


Love Midland invites Midland County artists of all ages to submit original designs for traffic signal boxes, enhancing the city’s streetscape.

Themes:

  • Field of Flowers – any flower, any style.

  • Midland: Be the Energy – open to your creative interpretation.

Deadline: September 30, 2025
Submission: Complete the application below. One design per category; digital submissions only.

Selection: Designs will be judged on creativity, craftsmanship, theme fit, and appropriateness. Winners’ art will be vinyl-wrapped on boxes for at least two years. Winners will receive a $150 award.

Design Guidelines:

  • Original work only.

  • Preferably digital (Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop or similar).

  • Vector files/high-res PDFs recommended.

  • If non-digital, provide a 300dpi+ scan or photo.

  • Design should flow across all sides, avoid text near edges, and not include ads or trademarks.

UPS Cabinet: 46.5”H × 16.5”W × 16.5”D
